Scholarships for the Postgraduate Program
In 2006 a number of centers teaching Bowen theory throughout the United States established a fund to provide scholarships for participation in the Special Postgraduate Program. Two one year scholarships were awarded for 2006-2007, one supported by the scholarship fund established by these regional programs and the other by a matching scholarship provided by the Bowen Center.
The goal of the Scholarship Fund is to provide scholarships annually through donations by individuals and by the regional programs throughout the country.
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of:
- acceptance into the Special Postgraduate Program
- potential for leadership
- potential for developing of knowledge relevant to Bowen theory
- financial need and
- letter(s) of recommendation.
Please submit a letter of application for the scholarship together with the Special Postgraduate Program Application to Victoria Harrison, Director, Special Postgraduate Program at the Bowen Center. The letter should outline evidence of potential for leadership, specific goals for learning and applying Bowen theory, and the basis for financial need. Please include letter(s) of recommendation from individuals who best know your work.
The deadline for the scholarship application is July 1. A committee of directors from regional programs will review applications. Dr. Robert Noone, chair of the committee, will notify applicants by June 22.
