Keo L. Miller, LCSW
Keo L. Miller, a licensed clinical social worker and student of Bowen theory for twenty-three years, has applied family systems theory to various clinical and educational settings that include Fairfax County Schools and the Corcoran College of Art and Design. She has served as adjunct professor for Virginia Commonwealth University and field instructor for the University of Maryland. She served on the Bowen Center’s clinical staff from 2003-2005 and was appointed to the faculty in 2006.
At the Bowen Center, she is the coordinator of the Thursday Professional Lecture series and serves on the Research and Symposium Speaker committees. Her research areas have included: Impact of Darwin’s theory of evolution on 19th century society, societal function of religion and the emotional aspects of learning. She has presented nationally on these topics. Her current focus is the function of grandparents in the multi-generational family system.
